President Stevo Pendarovski, as part of the “Face to Face with the President” project, visited today the municipality of Vinica.
President Pendarovski visited the company Makprogres, where he was introduced to the ongoing operations of the company, whose primary activity is production of confectionery products, processing, producing and finishing of agricultural cereals, including the healthy food segment.
The representatives of the company, which is one of the largest food companies in the region with more than 600 employees, introduced President Pendarovski to the future plans for investment and expansion of production. The work of the “Progressive Academy”, the training center of the company which includes the Academy for Executive Directors and the Vincini Academy for technical skills development, was also presented to President Pendarovski.
During the visit, President Pendarovski visited the local archaeological and historical museum “Terracotta” – Vinica. President Pendarovski saw the Museum’s permanent exhibition, which includes over 300 significant archaeological objects, including the most representative and unique artifacts – terracotta icons from the Vinica Fortress. The curators informed the President about the current activities related to the conservation of the Vinica Fortress, as well as about the projects and exhibitions in which the museum participates, including the upcoming exhibition of terracotta icons in Cordoba, Spain.
