President Stevo Pendarovski, on the occasion of the celebration of the Jewish holiday Yom Kippur, sent a message to the President of the Jewish community in the Republic of North Macedonia, Pepo Levi, and to all members of the Jewish community in the Republic of North Macedonia.
Respected Mr. Pepo Levi,
Yom Kippur is the brightest Jewish holiday. On this day, believers walk the path of internal reconsideration, repentance, forgiveness and reconciliation with God and people. May you personally and all the members of the Jewish community in the Republic of North Macedonia spend the holiday in good health, happiness and love. May prayers to God and fasting, as pillars of Yom Kippur, bring you spiritual peace and inspire good deeds.
The Jewish community, with its specifics, has an extremely important role in building Macedonian coexistence and fostering respect and understanding between different ethnic and religious groups. The time of challenges in which we live directs us to be even more unified. On this great holiday, I wish that we continue to work together for the prosperity of our common homeland and for its prosperity and progress.
G’mar chatima tova.
Stevo Pendarovski
