In the Presidential Cabinet, today, 270 children from the Skopje primary schools “Vera Jocic”, “Lazo Angelovski” and “Dimitar Makedonski”, as well as from the kindergartens “Buba Mara” and “LILIPUT DVORCHE”, attended the ceremonial change of the national flag.
The pupils proudly and loudly sang the anthem, intoned by the Macedonian military orchestra, this time accompanied by the military orchestra of the Armed Forces of Romania, which is in the country on the occasion of their joint New Year’s concert.
Accompanied by their teachers, educational assistants and educators, the children watched the ceremony of changing of the national flag performed by the Honors Battalion of the Macedonian Army.
After the ceremony, the children visited the premises where the impressive diptych “Macedonia – Bright Country” and “Macedonia Remembers” by Academician Gligor Chemerski, as well as the President’s office.
In the talks with Siljanovska-Davkova, the children talked about their activities, the preparations for the events on the eve of the New Year holidays, and sang their favorite songs.
A series of questions followed: about the presidential office and work responsibilities, but also about her childhood, primary education, pets, favorite books and music.
The President was amazed by the intelligent questions, which she answered with pleasure. She advised them to study, play sports, draw, protect nature and the environment, to make friends, and not to offend each other.
Finally, she thanked them for the wonderful visit and for the unforgettable day, for her and for the Cabinet.
