President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, on the occasion of the Christian holiday of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, sent a congratulation message to the head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archbishopric, Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia and Justinian Prima, His Holiness Stefan and to all believers of the Orthodox faith.

Allow me, to you personally, to the members of the Holy Synod of Bishops and to the entire clergy and monks, as well as to all believers of the Orthodox faith, to extend my warmest congratulations on the occasion of the great Christian holiday of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. I sincerely wish you to spend the holiday in peace, harmony, joy and happiness.
The cult of the Mother of God is a testimony to our unwavering spirit and faith in her, as well as to the importance of motherhood, unconditional love and family values.
The Most Holy Mother, as the protector of mothers and children, has a special place in our churches and homes, and most of all, in our hearts. It is no coincidence that visitors to the numerous churches and monasteries dedicated to the Mother of God are not only Christians, but also members of other religions.
This year as well, we will spend the holiday of the Assumption of the Most Holy Mother of God together with our loved ones.
I expect we will overcome the spiritual and moral crisis and return to true human values.
