Dear teachers,
I have this special honor, on behalf of all citizens and on my personal behalf, to congratulate you on December 21, Turkish Language Teaching Day.
Education in the mother tongue is an important human right, essential for the preservation and building of national and cultural identity, but also for personal development and success.
The linguistic imperative was clear to the Macedonian state 81 years ago, when it established the Turkish language teaching in the newly liberated Skopje. Since then, the Turkish word has been continuously and zealously cultivated, enriching the Macedonian multicultural identity.
On the occasion of this important day for all of us, and especially for the Turks, I express my great gratitude to all teachers and educational workers who, with their work, love, professionalism and dedication, spread knowledge of the Turkish language and actively participate in the upbringing of wise, noble and humane young people.
I wish that we continue to be an example of unity in diversity and to be proud of our common homeland!
