President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova received today the wife and daughter of the artist Gligor Cemerski, accompanied by curator Dr. Kiril Penusliski.
His family members expressed concern about the condition of the works of the great Cemerski and emphasized the need for their restoration and preservation, following the example of the successfully restored Freedom Monument in Kocani.
The President shared a sincere desire to contribute to the protection of Cemerski’s works, pointing out that some of them adorn the ceremonial hall and the presidential office.
She supports the project “Warm Land: The Monumental Work of Gligor Cemerski”, which aims to thoroughly research, document and present his work, with a focus on mosaics, frescoes and large compositions that shape the Macedonian visual identity.
