President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova received today the Ambassador of the United States of America, Angela Price Aggeler, in a farewell meeting.
Both reaffirmed that the two countries, as long-standing allies, cherish a strong friendship based on mutual respect and understanding. They agreed that the Macedonian-American political dialogue has intensified in recent years.
Ambassador Aggeler congratulated the President on the election of the two members of the Judicial Council, assessing the election as a significant step towards reforming this important judicial body.
Siljanovska-Davkova, on behalf of the Macedonian citizens, thanked Ambassador Aggeler for her contribution to deepening cooperation and strengthening the strategic partnership.
As an example of the excellent bilateral relations, she pointed to the awarding of the Medal for Military Merit to Major General Gregory Knight, Commander of the Vermont National Guard. The Ambassador said that, even after leaving Skopje, she will continue to assist the country in which she spent a significant part of her career, for which the President thanked and wished her further professional success.
