President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova sent a message to the President of the Jewish Community, Pepo Levi, and to all its members, on the occasion of the celebration of the Jewish holiday Yom Kippur.
Respected Mr. Pepo Levi,
Allow me, personally to you and to all members of the Jewish Community, to wish you, from the bottom of my heart, to spend the holiest Jewish holiday – Yom Kippur, above all, in good health, filled with joy and love.
As a holiday of repentance, redemption and reconciliation, Yom Kippur is a living testimony to the Jewish worldview and spirituality that also ennobles our common homeland.
I believe that the celebration of Yom Kippur is another beautiful opportunity to show the unity and strength of the centuries-old mutual respect and appreciation, regardless of religious or ethnic affiliation.
Together, dedicatedly and uncompromisingly, let us continue to build the Macedonian Republic as a democratic and prosperous state and ensure the well-being of all our citizens.
G’mar chatima tova.
Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova
