President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova met with the President of the Republic of Latvia, Edgars Rinkevics, on the sidelines of the NATO Summit in The Hague, where they expressed satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations.
They emphasized that the two countries established diplomatic relations almost three decades ago, which are characterized by an open, intensive political dialogue.
President Rinkevics extended an invitation to Siljanovska-Davkova to officially visit Latvia.
The President said that Latvia is our important partner in NATO and the United Nations, and added that she appreciates the principled and consistent support for the country, both during the NATO accession process and on our path to full EU membership.
Her Latvian counterpart welcomed the implemented reforms as a condition for entry into the Union and confirmed support for Macedonian European integration, emphasizing that Latvia advocates for enlargement of the Union with new members.
