President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova received today the Letters of Credence of the newly appointed Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Jiang Xiaoyan.
Both expressed satisfaction with the quality of Macedonian-Chinese relations, which are based on mutual respect and understanding.
For Siljanovska-Davkova, accelerated integration into the European Union is the Macedonian strategic priority, and dialogue is the only way to resolve regional and global problems and challenges.
Conveying the warm greetings of President Xi Jinping and the expressions of the highest respect from the Chinese government and people, the Chinese Ambassador said that the People’s Republic of China is our sincere, trustworthy and reliable friend who respects the sovereignty of the Macedonian state and the dignity and integrity of the Macedonian people.
The President welcomed the activities of the Department of Macedonian Language at the Beijing Foreign Studies University.
The interlocutors recognized untapped potential for expanding and deepening cooperation in the field of economy, education, culture, science and tourism.
They believe in and support effective multilateralism with the reformed United Nations.
