President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova received the Letters of Credence of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan resident in Ankara, Hazem Al-Khatib Al-Tamimi.
Sending warm greetings to the King of Jordan, Abdullah II, as well as to the friendly people of Jordan, she assessed that the two countries share the same civilizational values: preserving peace and security, respecting human rights and the rule of law, fight against terrorism, as well as those related to ecology, renewable energy sources and economic development.
Today’s ceremony is for her a new chapter in the strengthening and further promotion of friendly relations. The President believes that the intensified political dialogue, especially expressed in the recent period, will be recognized by the Jordanian businessmen and entrepreneurs, who will take advantage of all the benefits that the Macedonian government offers to foreign investors.
The Jordanian Ambassador expressed his readiness to make maximum efforts to open all horizons of cooperation and establish a legal basis for signing agreements and memoranda of understanding in all areas of mutual interest. He emphasized that both countries believe that the size of a country or the number of its population is not most important, but rather the human capital and the effect that people leave wherever they are.
On the eve of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the excellent bilateral cooperation, as well as readiness for its further development and promotion.
Wishing him a successful term filled with implemented initiatives and projects, the President expressed confidence that Ambassador Al-Khatib Al-Tamimi will have full assistance and support in carrying out his responsible diplomatic mission.
