President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova had a telephone conversation today with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
In her conversation with the Ukrainian President Zelensky, President Siljanovska Davkova emphasized our firm and unequivocal support for Ukraine in relation to the unprovoked and unjustified Russian military aggression. Referring to international law, the principles of the UN Charter and the Statute of the Council of Europe, the President said that the Ukrainian people can count on the Macedonian alliance and friendship in the future in dealing with the historical challenge with permanent and unforeseeable consequences.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on the upcoming Summit, which will be hosted by Switzerland, aimed at creating a framework favorable for a comprehensive and lasting peace in Ukraine. During the conversation, President Zelenskyy invited President Siljanovska Davkova to visit Ukraine, an invitation they will further consider at the Summit in Switzerland.
During the conversation, the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries, characterized by identical values, mutual respect and understanding, strongly confirmed by continuous cooperation in all areas of common interest, were emphasized. President Siljanovska Davkova and President Zelenskyy reaffirmed their commitment to further mutual support in international diplomacy, in view of fulfilling the European aspirations of both countries.
