In the spirit of the renewed tradition, President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova spent the first day of the New Year 2026 with members of the Army at the “Alekso Demnievski – Bauman” barracks in Veles, accompanied by the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Sasko Lafciski.
Addressing the newly recruited professional soldiers, she stressed that the discipline, compliance and the manner of conducting the training clearly reflect their dedication and interest in the military profession.
Siljanovska-Davkova, within the framework of the visit, presented the Training and Doctrine Command with an edition of books from various fields, which will enable additional education of soldiers and officers.
“I am happy to start the New Year with you! I wish you good health, dedication and perseverance, because only with hard work, enhanced by love for the profession, perfect soldiers are created”, the President said.
According to her, individual responsibility, professional handling of equipment and the clear vision of the Macedonian Army for the mission are an inseparable part of the military service.
She welcomed the achieved level of readiness that makes Macedonian soldiers, cadets and officers compatible, recognizable and equal with their colleagues in all allied armies and international missions.
During the visit, the President was briefed on the mission and capacities of the Training and Doctrine Command. She attended a presentation at the Simulation Center, where the efficiency in the development of rules, instructions and lessons learned was demonstrated, as well as a presentation of the Center for Training and Training of Service Dogs.
Through direct insight into the work and activities in the field, the values and capabilities for which this unit was honored last year, the high level of cohesion, professionalism and full compliance with NATO standards, were once again confirmed.
