On the occasion of the great Christian holiday – Easter, President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova sent a congratulation message to Dr. Kiro Stojanov, Bishop of Skopje and Diocese of Strumica-Skopje, and to all the Catholic faithful.
Respected Dr. Stojanov,
It is my special pleasure to congratulate you and all the Catholic faithful on the greatest Christian holiday – Easter.
I sincerely wish you to spend the festive days in good health, joy, love and happiness.
For almost two millennia, the Resurrection of Christ has repeatedly instilled in us hope and faith in goodness, as an everlasting mark of human nature.
In these difficult times, when dark clouds hang over humanity and when war instills fear in people, I believe that Easter, as the greatest holidays of all, will bring peace, spirituality and wisdom.
Jesus Christ taught us that without empathy, solidarity and tolerance and without understanding the other and the different, there is no coexistence.
I expect Easter to awaken the divine in all of us, to remind us that life is stronger than death and light than darkness, and to help us step forward, on God’s path!
Christ is Risen!
