President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, on the occasion of the Christian holiday of the Assumption of the Most Holy Mother of God, sent a congratulation message to the head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archbishopric, Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia and of Justinian I, His Holiness Stefan, and to all Orthodox Christian believers.

Allow me, to extend my heartfelt congratulations to You, Your Holiness, to the members of the Holy Synod of Bishops, to the honorable clergy and venerable monasticism, as well as to all Orthodox Christian believers, on the occasion of the great Christian holiday of the Assumption of the Most Holy Mother of God.
The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a reminder of her ascension in spirit and body and her intercession before the throne of God, of her spiritual strength, sacrifice, perseverance, consistency and her primordial maternal love.
As the Mother of God and protector, she is embedded in and inspires the hearts of all Christian believers.
In a time burdened with trials and tribulations, I believe that the image of the Mother of God inspires and encourages us all to persevere on the path of goodness, building unity, care and solidarity in the community, preserving and nurturing peace.
I wish, on this bright Christian holiday, the temples of the Macedonian Orthodox Church, both in the homeland and in the diaspora, be filled with believers united in Christian love under the auspices of the Most Holy Mother of God.
