President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova received today members of the Initiative Board for naming the large concert hall at the Macedonian Philharmonic after “Maestro Vanco Cavdarski”.
For the members of the Board, the naming is a well-deserved recognition of the exceptional contribution of conductor Vanco Cavdarski to the development and affirmation not only of Macedonian musical culture, but also of the world, given his conducting with famous orchestras in renowned concert halls.
The accomplishment of this idea, the esteemed artists believe, will be an act of national concern for the character and work of Cavdarski, who is considered a great Macedonian cultural ambassador and a top musical profile.
In their argumentation, they refer to similar comparative examples and experiences in the region, but also beyond.
Siljanovska-Davkova expressed understanding for the initiative, through the prism of the need to respect and nurture the national and world musical cultural heritage, as well as respect for artistic greats, with an undeniable and recognizable musical contribution, which has inspired many generations of conductors.
The Initiative Board is composed of famous artists, music pedagogues, academics, university professors, cultural workers and public figures, who, with their professional and social engagement, contribute to the preservation and affirmation of the Macedonian cultural tradition and values.
