During her visit to the Republic of Poland, President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova met with members of the Macedonian community living there.
There is a small but active, reputable and well-integrated Macedonian diaspora in the Republic of Poland. It was with great pleasure that I met with members of our community at the premises of the Macedonian Embassy in Warsaw, Siljanovska-Davkova said.
Among those present were doctors, professors, economists, IT engineers, businessmen, directors, students and other professionals who are successful in the Polish society.
In an open and honest conversation, we exchanged experience about their life and work in Poland, as well as about the possibilities for even stronger connections and cooperation with the homeland. The Macedonian diaspora in Poland represents a living bridge between the 2 friendly countries. They nurture and transmit the Macedonian spirit, language, culture and traditions beyond the borders of our country. Constant and essential contact with the diaspora is of strategic importance. “My support for the Macedonian community in Poland, as well as for all our emigrants around the world, is strong and sincere”, the President said after the meeting.
