President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova received the members of the National Chamber Orchestra of Bitola: Acting Director Dejan Cvetkovski, Conductor and Founder Vladimir Dimovski, Violinist Nikola Trajanovski and Cellist Ljupco Milevski.
The talks focused on the successes, problems and challenges faced by the Orchestra.
The interlocutors introduced the President to their four-decade musical story, which marked a short break in 2013.
They spoke fervently about the numerous performances over the years, the diverse repertoire, the collaboration with prominent domestic and foreign artists, the young talents and the successful concerts.
The President expressed her respect for their professionalism and passionate dedication, for the visible results, significant not only for Bitola and the Bitola audience, but also beyond.
Evoking unforgettable musical moments with them, the President stressed the importance of investing in musical culture and its positive impact on the spiritual health of the people and the state.
She recognizes top artists in them, and in their music a strong inspiration for generations.
The guests shared with the President, not only the beautiful, but also the difficult moments in their musical life, mainly of a financial nature due to the modest budget of the institution.
The President pointed out the importance of the survival of this renowned Orchestra, the only one outside the capital, emphasizing that musical enthusiasm needs a financial stimulus.
The successful participation of this Orchestra in numerous renowned classical music festivals across Europe, as well as the excellent remix of Macedonian original music, proves the Bitola tradition of nurturing art, as well as the Macedonian inexhaustible musical talent.
Their performance in Rome during the celebration of the day of Ss. Cyril and Methodius will remain unforgettable for the President.
Both Bitola, the Bitola audience, and the audience from the region have a dire need for the National Chamber Orchestra.
