President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova received today hearing and speech impaired students from the State School Center for Education and Rehabilitation “Partenija Zografski”, special educator and rehabilitator Hristina Bozinovska Gikova and Viktorija Volak, sign language interpreter.
At the meeting, President Siljanovska Davkova was informed about the current activities in this school center, aimed at education, upbringing, rehabilitation, professional and vocational training of students with hearing impairment. The students introduced the President to the various extracurricular activities in which they are actively involved, through which they develop their skills and talents in the areas they are particularly interested, as well as their future plans after completing secondary education.
President Siljanovska Davkova emphasized the importance of the activity of this unique school for secondary vocational education in the country for students with hearing impairment, in which they are trained for integration in work processes, as well as for inclusion in higher education. Expressing her support for their mission, the President said that our common priority should be advancement of the rights of people with hearing and speech impairments for their greater inclusion in the Macedonian society.
