President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova received today the Letters of Credence of Alberto Antonio Rodriguez Goni, newly appointed Ambassador of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, resident in Bucharest.
At the ceremony of presenting the Letters of Credence, President Siljanovska Davkova said that despite the geographical distance of the two countries and their belonging to different regions, there is a mutual interest in more comprehensive cooperation, indicating that there is potential for further improvement of mutual relations for the benefit of the citizens of both countries. The President expressed confidence that in the coming period, additional opportunities will be opened for more engaged joint work in discovering new areas for cooperation, as well as for exchange of experiences for further development of bilateral relations and their enrichment with new contents.
The Ambassador of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, Alberto Antonio Rodriguez Goni, in his address, emphasized the readiness and commitment to advance bilateral relations, to strengthen cooperation in every possible aspect, including political multilateral activities, as well as cooperation in the economy and trade, pointing out that cultural and people-to-people contacts offer excellent opportunities for mutual understanding between the two countries.
President Siljanovska Davkova wished Ambassador Alberto Antonio Rodriguez Goni success in the performance of his responsible position.
