She expressed readiness for further cooperation with unabated dynamics and dedication as with former ambassador.
The meeting started with an assessment of international relations, the situation in NATO, the EU and the region.
The interlocutors then focused on the Macedonian issues: reform processes in the judiciary, digitalization, fight against corruption and organized crime and implementation of infrastructure projects.
They assessed that the inclusive decision-making model and meritocracy in all spheres of social life, especially in the education system and in the recruitment of state and public administration at the highest level, are crucial not only for our European integration, but also for the prosperity of the country.
In times of security challenges and risks, for both, the US-Macedonian strategic partnership, as well as the NATO alliance, are important for stability.
The Acting Ambassador confirmed the US readiness to promote friendly relations, welcoming the recently agreed joint statement on the framework for the future Agreement on Reciprocal, Fair and Balanced Trade, as a significant step in strengthening economic cooperation.
Siljanovska-Davkova and Varnes expect the Action Plan to specify a number of projects in the interest of citizens.
