President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, during the World Government Summit in Dubai, met with the President of the Republic of Estonia, Alar Karis, at which friendly relations and Estonian support for the Macedonian European integration were confirmed.
Siljanovska-Davkova thanked for Estonia’s active role in the “Friends of Enlargement” group and expressed interest in strengthening bilateral cooperation with the Baltic country and concluding agreements in areas of mutual interest.
The President emphasized that we remain fully committed to EU membership and one hundred percent aligned with the Union’s common security and foreign policy. She reaffirmed the position that European integration in the Balkans is a strategic need for the stability and security of Europe.
At the meeting, the cooperation in the field of digitalization, implemented in partnership with the Estonian Center for International Development, the cooperation with the Baltic Defense College in Tartu, as well as with the NATO Cyber Defense Center in Tallinn, was welcomed.
Pointing out that there are untapped potentials in the economy, Siljanovska-Davkova expressed expectations for development of new joint projects and a greater presence of Estonian investors in the country.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the current global challenges.
