President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova held today a working meeting with the Ambassadors of the countries of the Visegrad Group, which was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, Krzysztof Grzelczyk, of the Czech Republic, Jaroslav Ludva, of the Slovak Republic, Henrik Markus, and the deputy Head of the Mission at the Embassy of Hungary, Krisztina Tihanyi.
The interlocutors exchanged opinions on the future deepening of friendly relations and mutual cooperation, on the process of the Macedonian integration into the European Union, as well as on the key political and security challenges facing the Union and the European continent.
President Siljanovska Davkova said that the Visegrad Group countries have always been vocal supporters of our region and promoters of the European Union’s enlargement policy and thanked them for their solidarity, assistance and sharing of expert experiences in the European integration process.
In that direction, she emphasized the importance of fair treatment, appropriate and meritorious evaluation of the country’s reform progress so far and fulfillment of the Copenhagen criteria in the European integration process.
The President emphasized the readiness of the country to apply the good examples and practices developed in the Visegrad Group and thanked for the technical assistance in building the capacities of the civil society.
The interlocutors expressed confidence in the further improvement of overall relations based on mutual friendship, understanding and respect.
