A ceremony of changing of the national flag was held today in the Cabinet of President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, attended by more than 170 students from the Skopje elementary schools “Hristijan Todorovski-Karposh”, “Petar Pop Arsov” and “Goce Delchev”, accompanied by their teachers.
The young visitors carefully followed the ceremony, which is traditionally held every second Friday of the month, and is carried out by the Honors Battalion of the Macedonian Army, as an expression of respect for the flag and the country.
After the ceremony, the guests toured the premises of the Cabinet and, in a direct conversation with Siljanovska-Davkova, with great curiosity asked her numerous questions that showed enviable maturity: about everyday challenges, about the activities that she misses due to her engagement as president, about her favorite childhood activities, about her schooling and profession, but also about the works of art that adorn the Cabinet.
Admired by their sincerity and courage, she pointed out to them the importance of being themselves, original and critical, of believing in the power of knowledge, of making friends with books and of loving one’s homeland.
At the end of the visit, the students presented her with beautiful drawings and handicrafts, made with great creativity and dedication, and they left the Cabinet with smiles and beautiful impressions, as they said.
