President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova received today the Letters of Credence of the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Peru, resident in Bucharest, Felix Ricardo Denegri Boza.
At the ceremony of presenting the Letters of Credence, President Siljanovska Davkova expressed her belief that the future development of relations and cooperation between the two countries will represent a positive example and a challenge for their constant upgrading with new contents in specific areas.
Pointing out that the world today is facing numerous challenges, the President said that mutual cooperation is of essential importance not only for the prosperity of both countries, but also for building a stronger international community.
“Despite the geographical distance, our countries share important values and aspirations for peace, stability and development, linked through mutual commitment to democratic principles and human rights, as well as through the interest in strengthening cultural, economic and educational ties”, President Siljanovska Davkova said in her welcoming address.
In his address, the Ambassador of Peru emphasized that both countries share common democratic values, promotion of peace, economic progress and human rights, thus contributing not only to the strengthening of their own countries but also to global stability.
The Peruvian Ambassador praised multilateral cooperation and thanked Macedonia for its support for Peru’s candidacies in international organizations.
Pointing to the visa-free regime between the two countries, he expressed expectations for development of tourism in the future. The Ambassador also stressed the role of the small Peruvian community in the country in strengthening mutual ties and bringing peoples closer together.
At the ceremony, the President wished the Ambassador a successful mission and expressed confidence that his diplomatic experience would contribute to deepening mutual friendship.
