President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova received the Director of the National Institution “Ohrid Summer Festival”, Gjorgi Cuckovski.
Congratulating Cuckovski on his election as director of this renowned international festival, she expressed her confidence that with his rich musical career and the first director from the National Opera and Ballet, he will contribute to the advancement of the artistic and aesthetic values and criteria of “Ohrid Summer Festival”.
As a traditional patron of this oldest musical and stage manifestation in the country, President Siljanovska-Davkova was introduced to the preparations and novelties of the upcoming 65th edition of “Ohrid Summer Festival”, which is expected to feature excellent artistic program with fresh, modern and creative content.
She pointed out that the “Ohrid Summer Festival”, with its international character, is an added value of cultural diplomacy and stressed that in the future she will continue to support the events, which through the promotion of cultural and artistic values bring peoples closer and strengthen mutual respect.
The interlocutors also exchanged opinions on the possibilities and ways for further development of the Festival, with the aim of achieving even higher achievements on the international cultural scene and overall promotion of the country.
“Ohrid Summer Festival” is one of the most significant events which, with its long-standing tradition, recognition, quality and reputation, brings world names closer to the Macedonian audience, contributing at the same time to a higher quality tourist offer of our spiritual and cultural center, Ohrid.
