President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova received today Daniela Dimovska, Director of the newly established for Innovation, Scientific and Technological Development and Entrepreneurship Agency – INOVA.
She introduced her to the strategic priorities, projects and activities of the Agency. According to her, modern economic development imposes a need to improve the national ecosystem, green policies, reduce pollution and waste management.
Representatives of INOVA informed about the specific mechanisms of the Agency for supporting startups, programs for young entrepreneurs, as well as activities aimed at encouraging self-employment.
The interlocutors believe that the creation of sustainable innovation policies and access to new markets and knowledge requires intensive international cooperation, and especially involvement of our diaspora.
Pointing out the importance of stimulating innovation as a driver of a competitive economy, Siljanovska-Davkova referred to the continuous strengthening of the partnership between the public and private sectors.
For her, the connection between universities, innovators and the business sector is a crucial prerequisite for the practical application of knowledge and the development of new technologies.
The President wished them fruitful and successful work, expressing the view that investments in new technologies bring faster economic growth, the creation of quality jobs and guarantee a higher standard of living for citizens.
