President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova received today Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Foundation.
The meeting discussed the role of the Foundation in fostering international cooperation and regional dialogue, as well as the possibilities for deepening Macedonian-Turkish relations.
The President emphasized the role of the Republic of Turkiye as our ally and supporter, from independence to the present day, but also the role of the Turkish community as a bridge of cooperation between the two countries.
Special attention was paid to the Eurasian Economic Summit, the 29th edition of which will be held in May in Istanbul, organized by the Foundation.
The President said that it is an important platform that unites statesmen, politicians, academics, business leaders, representatives of civil society and religious leaders, and through this year’s theme “Global Responsibility” contributes to efforts to address the crises of the 21st century: political, security, economic, environmental and moral crises.
She also pointed out the significant role that the Eurasian Economic Summit has for the Macedonian companies and the opportunity it offers for their representation before the Turkish partners.
At the meeting, the interlocutors also exchanged views on the current situation in the Middle East.
