President Siljanovska Davkova received today representatives of the Union of Associations of Nurses, Technicians, Midwives and Dental Nurses of Macedonia, led by the association ZMSTAS “ZA NAS”, on the eve of the 3rd International Congress of the Union.
At the meeting, President Siljanovska Davkova was informed about the general commitments of the Union of Associations of Nurses, Technicians, Midwives and Dental Nurses of Macedonia, established collaborations and participation in international congresses and symposiums. The representatives of the Union also informed about the current activities in the context of drafting a law for regulation of the nursing profession, advancement of the work and improvement of the educational process.
Expressing respect for their noble profession, President Siljanovska Davkova emphasized her support for the continuous engagement to improve the position of nurses and midwives in the country, which has a direct impact on the overall citizens’ health services. In that regard, the need for greater visibility of the challenges they face every day, as well as a dedicated and responsible approach to overcoming them, was emphasized.
The meeting also discussed the preparations for organizing the 3rd International Congress of the Union, which will be held from 4 to 6 October in Struga, as well as the 5th Congress of the Balkan Association of Nurses, which is planned for March next year in Skopje.
