Siljanovska-Davkova meets representatives of Women in Tech-Macedonia

Today, on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova received representatives of Women in Tech-Macedonia, an organization that is part of the global Women in Tech initiative, which promotes inclusion, diversity and equality of women in STEM professions (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

They informed her that their activities are mainly aimed at educating unemployed girls who still share a dilemma about the life choice of the profession. The Women in Tech community achieves its goals through trainings, mentorships and conferences, with the aim of reducing gender inequality in STEM professions.

Congratulating them on the special award – IMPACT Award, which they received at the global Women in Tech Summit last year in Osaka, Japan, the President said that it is a confirmation of their international competitiveness, success and commitment. She believes that every woman has inexhaustible energy and untapped knowledge, the use of which can overcome even the most complex challenges.

Siljanovska-Davkova openly expressed her admiration for the intelligence and creativity of her interlocutors, and especially for their willingness to help the most vulnerable among us.

The President expressed her readiness to support the Women in Tech campaign for inclusion of women and girls in science.

The interlocutors deeply believe in the female vision and mission of true carriers of fundamental changes that will leave a mark on technology.
