President and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, received today General Alexus Gregory Grynkevich, Supreme Allied Commander Europe.
For her, his official visit to the country is a confirmation of NATO’s interest and commitment to preserving peace, security, stability and unity in the region.
Elaborating on the readiness of the Macedonian Armed Forces to deal with security challenges, she pointed to the visible and valued Macedonian contribution within the NATO defense system.
The interlocutors stressed the importance of the construction of Corridor 8, not only for regional resilience, but also for collective defense.
General Alexus Gregory Grynkevich, as the leader of NATO military operations, emphasized that SECEUR appreciates the professionalism and dedication of the Macedonian Army, confirmed through participation in numerous peacekeeping missions and allied activities, assessing that the Macedonian success story deserves to be presented at the upcoming NATO Summit in Ankara.
