“It is logical to be among you, because I am one of you”, the President said, noting that retirement is not the end of an active life, but the beginning of a new life cycle in which wisdom, knowledge and experience gain importance.

For her, sport is not only a physical, but also a mental exercise that improves health, encourages socializing and teaches us to continue to rejoice in successes, but also to cope with failures more easily.

Speaking about the rights of pensioners, Siljanovska-Davkova said that they should be involved in the creation of policies, and especially in the adoption of laws and decisions that concern them.

The President pointed to the example of the Japanese, known as the longest-living people, pointing out that one of the most important reasons for this is the belief in the philosophy of “ikigai”, according to which there is always a reason for our existence and goals that we need to achieve.
