President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova received today the members of the “Golden Nightingale” choir at Villa Biljana in Ohrid.
President Siljanovska Davkova stressed the great importance of the “Golden Nightingale” festival for the development of creativity and talent of the youngest and added that this festival was a nursery of children’s quality and the beginning of a successful career of many famous musical names over the years.
The members of the children’s choir and the soloists of “Golden Nightingale” sang famous choruses from this festival, which they will perform at their concert within the “Ohrid Water Festival”.
President Siljanovska Davkova wished them many hits and successful musical performances, expressing her support for the festival, which for 54 years has nurtured values through which children are built as individuals in our society.
The first edition of the “Golden Nightingale” festival was held on 23 May 1970, organized by the Union for Care and Education of the Children of the City of Skopje and is traditionally held within the framework of the celebration of the liberation of Skopje, November 13 under the patronage of the President of the state.
