President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova sent a congratulation message on the occasion of May 24, the Day of All-Slavic educators, the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius.
Dear fellow citizens,
I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of the great holiday, May 24, the Day of All-Slavic educators, the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius.
From the bottom of my heart, I wish you to spend the holiday in good health, love and harmony, filled with joy and happiness that we have the opportunity to enjoy the fruits of the great work of the Thessaloniki brothers. Thanks to them, the Slavic peoples got the opportunity to develop their spirituality, culture, education, science. Both Macedonian linguistic and cultural identity, as well as worldview and cosmopolitanism, are based on their work and achievements, and their philanthropy.
Saints Cyril and Methodius showed that with knowledge, thirst for truth, righteousness, devotion, humanism and nobility, limitations can be overcome and injustices can be defeated. The history of Europe and the world does not have too many examples of such influential people who have left a mark on their time, but also a roadmap for the future and who are beacons of human civilization. That is why their work does not fade or lose its meaning even after a whole millennium.
May the feat of the Holy Brothers continue to be our roadmap and moral and spiritual vertical for dignified and fulfilled living, creation and development!
Happy and eternal May 24, the Day of St. Cyril and Methodius!
Gordana Siljanovska Davkova
