Dear fellow citizens, dear fellow travelers in the common Macedonian journey and trip, in our sharing of the good and the bad, today is that day, with deserved superlatives – the longest, the happiest, the most beautiful, a day when we leave something as a memory from the past and take with us the hope for a better year.
In this passing year, we witnessed many defeats and falls, but also successes, humanity, mutual help and support.
The New Year is a moment to do many things in a pleasant atmosphere, but also a moment to remember that some brave people are watching over our well-being.
The New Year always awakens optimism, hope and gives birth to new opportunities.
As in your lives, so in mine, there are both ups and downs, but also hundreds of reasons and motives not to give up. We always have an obligation to move forward and towards the better, for ourselves, for our children and for the common good. The wise man said that one branch is easily broken, but when ten branches come together, it is impossible to break them.
Living in a world of distorted values, let us send messages that together we are stronger and happier. Let us extend a hand to the powerless, to people who live on the margins, they need us, and we need them too. Let us build a society in which everyone will have a chance for a decent and dignified life, the vulnerable – support, and the young – inspiration, motivation and future. We have a desperate need for ecological justice and an agreement with nature, but not as an imposed obligation, but as a prerequisite for a certain future.
As a nation, we have the right to show the world our true face, to tell our centuries-old story, to believe in our Macedonian dream.
Both as a person and as a president, I believe that it is worth fighting for law, justice and morality. By adhering to these principles, small countries have a chance to survive the great storms in international waters.
Let us guard our common home as good hosts. I wish 2025 is a year of success, stability, joy and dreams come true. Let us live in peace, tranquility and harmony with those we love and those who love us.
