President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova received today the Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation, Veronique Hulmann.
At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on the overall bilateral cooperation between the two countries, bound by traditional and sincere friendship, based on cooperation and mutual respect.
President Siljanovska Davkova said that this year marks 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations with Switzerland and added that we consider Switzerland a great friend and sincere ally in the process of achieving foreign policy goals and priorities.
At the meeting, President Siljanovska Davkova emphasized the importance of Swiss support for the Macedonian institutions, both at central and local level, but also for the civil society, and added that we especially appreciate the fact that Switzerland is our largest bilateral donor.
President Siljanovska Davkova pointed to the need to further strengthen economic cooperation, both through further promotion of trade and through an increase in the Swiss investments.
At the meeting, the numerous Macedonian diaspora in Switzerland was pointed out as an important aspect in the overall development of relations between the two countries.
