President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova met with Rovshan Muradov, Secretary General of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, based in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The Secretary General introduced the President to the Center’s current and planned activities, dedicated to fostering dialogue, tolerance, mutual understanding and global cooperation.
The visit to the Western Balkan countries is in the function of organizing the conference in Slovenia, which will be attended by former presidents from the Western Balkan countries.
The conversation focused mainly on the Baku Global Forum, as one of the leading international platforms for the exchange of views and opinions between high-ranking political officials, experts, members of the academic community and the civil society.
Muradov presented her with an invitation to participate in the upcoming forum.
They also discussed the current global challenges and the need for enhanced multilateral cooperation in order to overcome them. The Secretary-General informed the President about the informal activities related to the election of a new UN Secretary-General.
President Siljanovska-Davkova reaffirmed her position and commitment to a woman assuming this function.
