President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova received today the Letters of Credence of Doris Adzo Denyo Brese, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana, resident in Prague.
At the ceremony of presenting the Letters of Credence, President Siljanovska Davkova said that our country attaches importance to the development of relations with African countries, especially with Ghana, which was the first country south of the Sahara to gain independence in the process of decolonization.
“Given Ghana’s commitment to the further development of its economy and democracy, I am convinced that there is room to expand our cooperation economically, culturally and internationally. For that, further strengthening of the legal framework is needed and I hope that all agreements that have already been harmonized will be signed as soon as possible”, President Siljanovska Davkova said.
Expressing satisfaction with the cooperation in the field of education and science and the expressed interest of Ghanaian students to study at the University of Information Sciences and Technologies “St. Apostle Paul” in Ohrid, the President expressed hope that this cooperation will continue in the future, with the possibility of being further deepened.
In her address, Ambassador Brese said that Ghana appreciates the long-standing and cordial friendship that exists between the two countries since the establishment of diplomatic relations, built upon the shared commitment to the same values: democracy, human rights, rule of law, security and prosperity.
She noted that Ghana attaches great importance to joint initiatives to deepen collaboration in key sectors of our economy, notably, technology, health, agriculture, renewable energy, manufacturing, tourism, and education. In this context, Ambassador Brese said that she encourages investors from our country to take advantage of the attractive and conducive investment climate in Ghana.
President Siljanovska Davkova wished Ambassador Doris Adzo Denyo Brese success in the performance of her responsible office.
