President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova visited today the members of the Army engaged in extinguishing the large forest fire on Mount Serta, near the village of Kalanjevo in Negotino.
President Siljanovska Davkova was informed by the Director of the Crisis Management Center, Stojance Angelov, about the current situation with the fires and the activities being undertaken to extinguish them.
Based on the indicated need and demands for a greater engagement in firefighting, President Siljanovska Davkova this morning made a decision to hire additional 200 members of the Army in the efforts to extinguish the fires, making the total number of engaged army members 300.
The members of the Army from the Operations Command and the Training and Doctrine Command will carry out the activities tasked by the Crisis Management Center, as a body responsible for coordination of all involved institutions.
