President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova received today the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Fatih Ulusoy.
At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on the overall bilateral relations, which are traditionally friendly, in the spirit of the strategic partnership between the two countries and the alliance in NATO.
President Siljanovska Davkova thanked for the overall support that Turkey has been providing since the first days of the Macedonian independence and emphasized her commitment to work on further improvement of relations between the two countries in all spheres of mutual interest. In that context, President Siljanovska Davkova pointed to the need to create the necessary conditions for intensifying cooperation between businesses from the two countries, with the aim of increasing trade.
At the meeting, opinions were exchanged about the current situation in both countries, the security and political developments in the region, as well as the challenges regarding the Macedonian European integration.
President Siljanoska Davkova expressed her expectation that Turkey will continue to be a constructive partner and supporter of our country on bilateral and multilateral level.
The meeting also emphasized the role and contribution of the Turkish community in the overall development of the country.
