The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, received today the Ambassador of Hungary, Laszlo Istvan Dux.
The meeting exchanged views on the overall bilateral relations between the Republic of North Macedonia and Hungary, the latest developments in the region, as well as the aspirations of the Republic of North Macedonia for membership in the European Union and NATO.
At the meeting, President Pendarovski stressed that the Republic of North Macedonia highly appreciates the support from Hungary for setting a date for the start of accession negotiations with the European Union and the support for NATO membership. In that context, the President expressed satisfaction with the ratification of the Accession Protocol of the Republic of North Macedonia for membership in NATO by the National Assembly of Hungary.
Ambassador Dux congratulated President Pendarovski on the occasion of his assuming of office and wished him success in the performance of his duties.
