Today, President Stevo Pendarovski received the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of North Macedonia, Otar Berdzenishvili.
In his address at the ceremony, President Pendarovski expressed his expectation that the ambassador, with his professional engagement, will contribute to the further improvement of the overall relations between the two countries and more intensive economic cooperation, for which there is a solid foundation.
“Georgia is a friendly country with which we share similar priorities and views, and your attachment to European and Euro-Atlantic integrations is an additional incentive for even more comprehensive cooperation in the period ahead. Today, when Europe is once again facing a tragic military conflict, the need for greater international cooperation and solidarity is relevant perhaps more than ever before. I believe that regardless of our size as states, North Macedonia and Georgia will continue to make their contribution to ensuring peace, democracy, human rights and economic well-being, as universal values to which both countries are attached,” President Pendarovski said.
Ambassador Berdzenishvili expressed his willingness to contribute to the promotion and development of friendly relations between the two countries at the ceremony of handing over the credentials.
