President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova received today the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant-Colonel General Vasko Gjurchinovski.
At the meeting, first after assuming office, President Siljanovska Davkova was informed about the current activities of the Army, the tasks for protection of territorial integrity and independence, the readiness to fulfill national and international obligations, the contribution to collective self-defense, international operations and protection of wider national interests.
President Siljanovska Davkova expressed her belief that the Macedonian army, as before, will continue with the same commitment to fulfill its constitutional duty to protect our territorial integrity and independence, and that the army members will continue to be an example of professionalism, discipline and dedication, as befits a NATO member state.
President Siljanovska Davkova emphasized her determination, as Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to always provide support for further equipping and modernization of the Army and improving the living and working conditions of the army members.
