Today in New York, on the sidelines of the 78th General Assembly of the United Nations, President Stevo Pendarovski met with Yuri Kim, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia, and Jim O’Brien, Head of the Sanctions Coordination Office at the US State Department.
At the meeting, they discussed the course and the current situation related to the European integration of our country, the reform progress, as well as the political situation in the country and in the region. The interlocutors agreed that it is necessary to maintain the focus on reforms, as well as the readiness to conduct negotiations with the European Union.
At the meeting, the excellent bilateral relations between the United States of America and the Republic of North Macedonia were confirmed, with President Pendarovski thanking the American support for the membership of North Macedonia in the EU as a strategic determination of the Macedonian society.
