The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, received today the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Tulin Erkal Kara.
At the meeting, the two interlocutors discussed the bilateral relations between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Turkey and expressed satisfaction with the strong and traditional friendship, as well as with the continuous positive trend, both in the political and economic relations between the two countries.
President Pendarovski stressed that fostering strategic partnership with Turkey is of exceptional importance for North Macedonia, expressing the expectation for further improvement and strengthening of the cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
President Pendarovski emphasized that North Macedonia highly appreciates and respects the continued assistance from Turkey on our Euro-Atlantic path.
“Our membership in the North Atlantic Alliance will have a positive impact on the future regional cooperation and will contribute to lasting peace and stability in the Balkans, the efforts shared by both North Macedonia and Turkey”, President Pendarovski said at the meeting.
Ambassador Erkal Kara conveyed congratulations to President Pendarovski from the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the occasion of his assuming of office and wished him success, adding that the Republic of Turkey will continue to be a supporter of the Republic of North Macedonia.
