President Stevo Pendarovski, today – September 22, 2023, Friday, will address the General Debate of the 78th General Assembly of the United Nations, which is being held on the theme “Rebuilding Trust and Restarting Global Solidarity: Accelerating Action for the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals towards peace, prosperity, progress and sustainability for all.”
President Pendarovski’s address is scheduled for the session that starts at 15:00 Macedonian time and can be streamed live on Home | UN Web TV General Debate – General Assembly, 78th session.
It is planned that President Pendarovski will have a meeting with the Secretary General of the UN, Antonio Guterres, at which President Pendarovski will award the United Nations Organization with the Order of the Republic of North Macedonia and will present the award to Secretary General Guterres. The organization of the United Nations is distinguished with the Order of the Republic of North Macedonia for the great help and support in dealing with the consequences of the catastrophic Skopje earthquake and for the invaluable contribution to the reconstruction of the City of Skopje, which grew into a city of solidarity and a true symbol of friendship between nations.
With today’s activities, President Pendarovski concludes his participation in the 78th General Assembly of the United Nations.
President Pendarovski is scheduled to travel to Chicago, where tomorrow – September 23, 2023, Saturday, he will attend the humanitarian gala dinner “Paths to Prosperity” organized by the board of directors of “Macedonia2025” and will honor the CEO of Boeing, David L. Calhoun with the “September 8” Order. Calhoun is distinguished for his special and dedicated contribution to the development and promotion of Macedonian-American strategic and business relations and to the economic progress of our country.
