President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova received today UNICEF Representative Leslie Miller.
The meeting discussed UNICEF’s cooperation with relevant institutions in our country in several areas important for shaping the future of children.
President Siljanovska Davkova expressed gratitude for the lasting partnership between UNICEF and our country, which has been ongoing for more than 30 years and which has resulted in transformative changes in the lives of children, promoting their rights and improving their well-being, especially in health, education, social protection and justice.
At the meeting, the President emphasized that UNICEF’s guidelines play a key role in addressing contemporary challenges, especially the effects of climate and environmental changes on children, in the context of striving for more sustainable socio-economic progress.
President Siljanovska Davkova reaffirmed her commitment to ensuring that every child in our society has equal opportunities to thrive by providing them with access to education, health, and protection.
