President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova received today representatives from the organization United Macedonians from Canada.
At the meeting, which was attended by the President of the Organization, Risto Durlovski and the Secretary Dragi Stojkovski, President Siljanovska Davkova was informed about the current activities and goals of the organization and about their actions in view of representing the interests and needs of the Macedonian community in Canada.
In that direction, the representatives of the organization introduced the President to their activities for preservation and promotion of the Macedonian tradition, culture and language, as well as their achievements and successes in various areas in the Canadian society, through which they contribute to the positive affirmation of the homeland and strengthening of relations between the two countries.
The President emphasized her commitment to nurturing and deepening relations with Macedonian expatriates, pointing out that they are an important segment for the overall development of our country and it is necessary to build lasting ties through cooperation, opening business opportunities, transfer of knowledge and investments.
The interlocutors exchanged opinions on issues of national interest, which also concern the Macedonian expatriates, as well as on their role in the economic and democratic development of the country.
