President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova welcomed Swiss President Guy Parmelin, who is paying an official visit to the country today, at a ceremony with the highest state and military honors.
The presidents held a tete-a-tete meeting, followed by a plenary meeting of the Macedonian and Swiss delegations.
The talks focused on the overall bilateral relations, with the three-decade cooperation assessed as friendly and fruitful.
The President thanked the Swiss President for his continued support of the Macedonian European integration, as well as for the numerous and valuable donations in key areas such as: the rule of law, strengthening democratic institutions, the transition to green and renewable energy, and the protection of natural resources, especially water.
She expressed satisfaction with the realization of this first historic official visit of a Swiss President to the country, which confirmed the partnership between the two countries.
