President Siljanovska-Davkova signs decrees recalling nine ambassadors from office

President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova signed decrees recalling eight ambassadors from office because they left for those positions without fulfilling their legal obligation before the working body of the Assembly.

Appointed ambassadors are legally obliged, before being sent on mission, to present and discuss their observations on relations with the host country or international organization before the working body of the Assembly, responsible for foreign policy, and eight of the nine recalled did not do so. One ambassador is being recalled in a regular procedure due to the end of the term.

Based on the decrees adopted, the following ambassadors are recalled:

– Jakup Rexhepi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Bosnia and Herzegovina, resident in Sarajevo;

– Cenk Sejfula, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Sweden, resident in Stockholm;

– Metodija Belevski, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Belgium and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, resident in Brussels;

– Agnesa Rusi Popovska, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Bulgaria, resident in Sofia;

– Emil Krsteski, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Czech Republic, resident in Prague;

– Pajo Avirovic, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Head of the Permanent Mission to International Organizations, resident in Vienna;

– Zekir Ramcilovic, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Montenegro, resident in Podgorica; and

– Katerina Stavreska, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, resident in London.

Also, President Siljanovska-Davkova issued a Decree recalling in a regular procedure Svetlana Geleva, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe, resident in Strasbourg, due to the end of her term.

In accordance with the decrees issued, their ambassadorial duties cease on 30 April 2025.
